Bittersweet Ending..New Beginnings..Sniff..Sniff....

Only one more day of elementary school for my boy and it is bittersweet...I was sitting in line to pick him up today and was on the phone w/my bff and she reminded me that today was the last time I would be in the line to pick up Cole at Elem. school and it hit me HARD because I haven't thought about it until she mentioned it...I cryed my eyes out..I felt so weird...I am so proud of my child and know that he will continue to prosper and grow but I feel like I am losing my little boy to hormones and did I mention girls already calling on the cell phone...I will just have to get over myself...I will get to spend the day w/Cole at school tomorrow with camera in hand it is water day and they have a slide show of all the 5th graders throughout the years they are in the school..I will need tissue....
nightie night!!

Awww, Cecile! Next year will be a new adventure for both you and Cole! All Mary has talked about is how she doesn't want to go to school tomorrow, because she'll be bored! She begged me to pick her up early...of course...I said no. I'm so mean!!!

I know what you mean! I was there just a couple of years ago! You will have all sorts of great times next year. One thing I love is that my daughter is much more self sufficient now. It is a great time! Middle school is it's own world, but you and Cole will do just fine. Enjoy tomorrow and take tons of pics!

You will be fine girl. It is a BIG step for you and Cole, but like Deanna says...it will be a new adventure for you two. Besides, look at me...I am now in Nanahood...wait until you get to that stage, lol.

You're hilarious, and I know exactly where you're comin' from. Funny, carpool was one of the biggest adjustments for me... it's so different at E's middle school, they just let 'em loose can you imagine? It's terrifying loL!

And go ahead and give up bein' allowed to come to school and take pics... that's like pulling teeth around here. However, I DID bribe the kiddo last night, into letting me come to field day and bring my camera... yay! It'll be the first and only time I've gotten to take pics of her at school all year.

I know that it's a hard time right now, but both of you will do fine. He will continue to excel and it will be a good thing. Just take a deep breath and remember that it will all work out. BTW I am sorry I made you cry. Hugs!

But, I will admit it won't be the same without you being at the school. I won't see you in passing in the mornings. You can still come over and help with snowcones and fun stuff...hahaha! I still can't believe that my baby is going to 2nd grade, how did that happen?
